1. Purpose
These General Terms and Conditions (hereinafter "Terms") apply to all orders placed with Paula Suárez Oltra, a registered self-employed professional (hereinafter "Suárez Traducciones"). By placing an order, the client enters into a legal agreement with Suárez Traducciones for the provision of sworn translation services. If specific terms are agreed upon for a particular service, they will take precedence over these Terms in the event of a conflict, while the rest of the Terms will remain unaffected.
2. Quotes
Quotes generated automatically on the website are free and non-binding until the client confirms acceptance by completing payment. It is the client’s responsibility to provide accurate details about the document (e.g., source language, target language, document type). If the uploaded document does not match the selected type, an updated quote will be provided. The client can choose to accept or decline it. If declined, the initial payment will be fully refunded.
3. Ordering Process
For catalogue-listed translations, clients must select the document type, make the payment, and upload the relevant file. For custom translations, clients must complete the quote request form. A quote will be provided within 6 business hours.
4. Modifications and Cancellations
To request a modification or cancellation, clients must email a written request to paula@suareztraducciones.com. Suárez Traducciones will determine whether modifications or cancellations are feasible based on the progress of the order. Due to the nature of translation work, orders cannot be cancelled once production has started. If a requested modification results in significant changes, a revised quote will be issued for the client’s approval.
5. Delivery
Delivery timelines provided in the quote are estimates and may vary depending on the order confirmation date. Translations will be delivered digitally via email in PDF format. Hard copies can be provided upon request for an additional fee and will be shipped by courier.
6. Prices and Payments
Prices include VAT unless otherwise specified. Payment must be made in full and in advance using the payment methods available on the website. Suárez Traducciones reserves the right to correct pricing or deadline errors in automated quotes before starting the project.
7. Intellectual Property and Confidentiality
The client guarantees they have the legal rights to the documents submitted for translation. Suárez Traducciones will handle all submitted materials confidentially and implement appropriate measures to safeguard them. Ownership of the completed translation will transfer to the client upon receipt of full payment.
8. Liability
Suárez Traducciones is not liable for errors or delays resulting from incomplete or inaccurate information provided by the client. Liability is limited to the total value of the order.
9. Claims
The client may submit claims regarding translation errors within a maximum of 30 calendar days from the delivery date. Claims must be substantiated and submitted in writing.
10. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
These General Terms are governed by Spanish law. Any disputes will be resolved by the Courts of Alicante.
